A lot of modern Yogi’s believe that the pose legs up the wall may have the power to cure whatever ails you. This is a pose to do when you come home and you’re very tired and your legs hurt and your lower back hurts and you need to revive yourself because you have another engagement later. So what do you do? Sit down on the floor by a wall and place your right hip flush to the wall and swing your legs up, scoot your butt up as close to the wall until you feel comfortable. Stay in that position for 5 to 15 minutes as the metabolic waste drain from your tired legs.
This is a pose that my mother likes to do and my mother is 93 and does it several times a day.

This pose can be helpful in finding relief from sciatic and back pain. It’s great for tight hips and it’s also a preventive stretch for the knees. It’s also good for the IT band. A lot of times When people have knee issues it’s not because they have with me is because your IT band is tight. This stretch will land then the IT band. This pose is good for an athlete and those that spend a lot of time sitting at desks!
